Orlando Magic Sign Former Wagner Star Alex Morales

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Magic have signed former Wagner College standout guard Alex Morales, President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman announced today.

Morales spent last season with the Osceola Magic of the NBA G League, appearing in 30 games with 26 starts. He averaged 9.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. Over three seasons with Osceola (formerly Lakeland), he has played in 94 games, including 41 starts.

A two-time Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Year, Morales starred at Wagner from 2019–22, starting 71 of 74 career games. He averaged 15.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals in 33.1 minutes per contest. In addition to his back-to-back Player of the Year honors, he was named NEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2021–22.

Morales and the Magic will open training camp on Tuesday, September 30, at the AdventHealth Training Center.
