Box Score Staten Island, NY - The Wagner women's soccer team brought a tie 1-1 against Manhattan on Sunday afternoon, thanks to the equalizer goal from senior midfielder/forward
Izzy Gomez in the 46th minute.
The Jaspers went ahead in the 30th minute when Amaya Hill found the back of the net and scored a goal. Wagner had multiple chances on efforts from junior captain
Alana Goldsmith and freshman
Vanessa Lovisa, but the Seahawks couldn't score before the halftime break.
That changed quickly in the second half. Just one minute in, Gomez scored her first goal of the season to make it 1-1.

Shae McGinty stood tall, making six saves to keep the score tied.
The Seahawks finished with eight shots and six corner kicks, showing strong defense from the defensive leaders graduate

The Seahawks' next game will be in New Rochelle, NY, at Mazzella Field against Iona on Sunday, Aug. 31, at 1p.m. Wagner will return home next against Seton Hall on Thursday, Sep. 11, at 7 p.m.
