Wagner controlled the tempo after the break, outshooting UMBC 7-0 in the second half and finishing with an 11-6 advantage overall. The Seahawks also earned six corner kicks to the Retrievers' one. Senior goalkeeper
Shae McGinty made two key saves to preserve the tie.
With the result, Wagner opens the season 0-0-1 and now heads on the road to face Rider on Monday, August 18 at 7 p.m., before returning home to host Manhattan on Sunday, August 24 at 1 p.m.
