Staten Island, NY - Wagner College field hockey head coach Aubrey Mytych has revealed the final 25 Seahawks and two assistant coaches who will join Coach Mytych in the chase for the 2025 Northeast Conference (NEC) crown.
 

Kayla Sykes | M | Milford, PA | Delaware Valley

Kayla Sykes was a four-year varsity starter and two-time varsity captain while at Delaware Valley, also named team MVP during sophomore season. During her junior season, Sykes was named her conference's Offensive Player of the Year. Syke was named the 2023 Pennsylvania High School Field Hockey Coaches Association GPA award winner. Sykes also took part in varsity track & field athlete while at Delaware Valley. Sykes will play in the midfield for Head Coach Aubrey Mytych.
 

Cecilia Clark | F | Collinswood, NJ | Collinswood

Cecilia Clark was a four-year varsity starter at Collingswood High School and a six-year member of the South Jersey Edge Field Hockey Club team. While at Collingswood, Clark reached the New Jersey group semifinals and final rounds on two separate occasions. Clark will play the forward position for Coach Mytych. 
 

Julia de Leeuw | D | Houten, The Netherlands | College de Heemlanden

Julia de Leeuw currently plays field hockey in the MO18-1 at Hockeyclub Houten in her hometown. Won the 2022-23 Championship in the 'Landelijke Subtopklasse' in the MO16-1. De Leeuw will play on the back-line for the Seahawks this upcoming season.
 

Julie Povel | F | Vught, The Netherlands | Mixte Op Perspectief

Julie Povel attended high school at Maurick College and played field hockey at MOP, playing in the highest youth league in the country. Naturally a forward, Povel took a year to complete volunteer work in South Africa while working on her field hockey craft. Povel is set to play up-top for Wagner in her first season.
 

Felicitas Herrero | F | Buenos Aires, Argentina | Limestone

In her hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Herrero played for her club Deportiva Francesa and started playing at Limestone in 2023. Over two seasons as a Saint, Limestone won its first Southern Athletic Conference (SAC) title in 2024 and earned its first-ever trip to the NCAA DII National Tournament. Named Second Team All-SAC. While at Limestone, Herrero appeared in 13 games, making eight starts while scoring six goals and adding one assist as a Saint. Herrero will play the forward position for the Seahawks.
 

Victoria Gonzalez-Lopez | F | Santiago, Chile | Limestone

In her hometown of Santiago, Chile, Gonzalez Lopez played for Universidad Católica Club and started playing at Limestone in 2023. Over two seasons as a Saint, Limestone won its first  Southern Athletic Conference (SAC) title in 2024 and earned its first-ever trip to the NCAA DII National Tournament alongside fellow freshman Seahawk Felicitas Herrero. While at Limestone, Gonzalez-Lopez appeared in 19 games, making 18 starts while scoring three goals and adding one assist. Named Second Team All-SAC, Gonzalez-Lopez will play the forward position for Coach Mytych.
 

Sykes, Clark, de Leeuw, and Povel will join six other freshman newcomers to represent the class of 2029 while Herrero and Gonzalez-Lopez will join as the lone transfers from Division II Southern Athletic Conference member Limestone. 
 

In total, the 2025 Seahawks roster will include 13 returners, ten freshmen, and two transfers from Limestone, highlighted by the reigning NEC Goalkeeper of the Year, upcoming sophomore Saar van Dalen.
