STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Wagner College women's head field hockey coach Aubrey Mytych has announced the addition of 10 newcomers who will join the Seahawks' roster ahead to the 2026 season.
Julia Wagner | Midfield | 5'4" | Oley, PA | Oley Valley
While a member of the Oley Valley field hockey program, Wagner was named Berks County All Division All Star Award in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The Oley, PA native earned a BCIAA Champion, District 3 1A Champion, and State Champion in 2023. In 2024 and 2025, Wagner was selected as a Varsity Captain, before receiving a 2025 BCIAA Championship and a District 3 1A Runner-up honor last season.
Emma Petersen | Midfield | 5'6" | Selinsgrove, PA | Selinsgrove
During her tenure at Selinsgrove, Petersen attained a 2023 PIAA District 2-4 Champion, a 2024 PHAC D1 Champion, a 2025 PHAC D1 Champion, and a 2025 District 4 Champion.
Aliya Hassett | Midfield | 5'3" | Massapequa, NY | Massapequa
A four-year varsity starter and a captain during her senior year, During her freshman season, Hassett received All-Conference. Followed by All-County, All-State, and All-Long Island Second Team nods during her sophomore campaign. Junior year, Hassett received All-County, All-State, Top 50 on Long Island, and All-Long Island First Team honors. Last season, Hassett was tabbed Top 50 on Long Island and named to the 2025 NFHCA High School watchlist while being named All-Region NFHCA.
Miley Brezgel | Goalkeeper | 5'7" | Herndon, PA | Line Mountain
While at Line Mountain, Brezgel was named team captain during the 2023, 2024, and 2025 seasons. A Tri-Valley League All-Star First Team honoree during the 2023, 2024, and 2025 campaigns, while being named Tri-Valley League MVP in 2025. Named onto the MaxPreps Field Hockey Top 150.
Ava Rice | Forward | 5'7" | Pittsford, NY | Pittsford Mendon
While at Pittsford Mendon, Rice was named First Team All-County and All-State during the 2024 and 2025 seasons as well as being named a 2025 Nexus Nationals selection, a 2025 Division 2 Player of the Year, and earning All-Tournament Team during last year's playoff run. Rice attained the 2024 Primetime585 Elite Player of the Year honor. During the 2023 season, Rice was named Second Team All-County. At the conclusion of her high school career, Rice scored a school-record 92 varsity goals, accounted for 37 assists, and led her team to three consecutive sectional champions.
Allie Mazur | Forward | 5'1" | Marlton, NJ | Cherokee
A two-year starter and captain during her senior year, Mazur helped lead her team to an Olympic Conference championship. Mazur was selected as the Offensive Olympic Conference Player of the Week and was tabbed All-Conference Second Team at the end of her junior year. Mazur competed in the NIT and NCC four separate times with her Spirit of USA team.
Kara Kim | Forward/Midfield | 5'2" | Clarksburg, MD | Clarksburg
A four-year varsity starter and letterwinner at Clarksburg, Kim served as team captain during both junior and senior seasons. Kim broke the school's all-time goal record as a junior and will graduate ranked second in career points. A member of back-to-back regional championships in 2023 and 2024, with top eight finishes in the state both seasons. Kim received All-County and All-Division honors and was voted the team's 2024 MVP. At the club level, Kara competed for Metro HC.
Mylee Retherford | Midfield | 5'7" | Benton, PA | Benton
While a member of the Benton Field Hockey program, Retherford and her team earned the 2022, 2024, and 2025 Muncy Tournament Champions. Retherford was named the 2025 Muncy All-Tournament MVP, the 2024 All-Tournament Team Midfield, and the 2022 All-Tournament Team Forward. Throughout her four years, Retherford scored 50 goals and accounted for 100 points. At the club level, Retherford played for Electric Surge Field Hockey Club, 2025 NITs, Retherford and Electric Surge placed second overall for U19. Also in 2025, Retherford participated in Nexus, qualified for Region 5/6 Selection Camp, and then the U18 Junior Nexus Championships.
Callie Davis | Forward/Midfield | 5'2" | Wyoming, PA | Dallas
A four-year varsity member at Dallas, Davis earned two conference titles while being named a 2023 Shooting Star U19 champion, a 2024 Electric Surge MVP, 2024 Surf & Sand champions, and a Nexus U19 RSC.
Gabrielle Childs | Midfield | 5'8" | Hammonton, NJ | Hammonton
Childs has been a member of Spirit of USA Club for seven years. While a member of the Hammonton field hockey program, Childs was named captain her senior year and First Team Cape Atlantic League during the 2024-25 and 2025-26 years. Childs earned All-NJ Group 3 Second Team and MVP of the NJSIAA Beginning Tournament Group 3 in 2024-25. Childs was selected for the South NJ Senior All-Star Game.
These 10 Seahawks join a Wagner team that has reached the NEC's title match every single season since 2023.
