Women's golf finished with a department-best GPA of 3.81, men's tennis attained a GPA of 3.64, women's indoor track & field achieved a team GPA of 3.61, women's outdoor track & field attained a team GPA of 3.59, baseball earned a GPA of 3.49, men's lacrosse concluded with a GPA of 3.49, men's swimming & diving finished with a GPA of 3.42, and men's indoor track & field received a GPA of 3.31.

The Seahawks had a conference-high eight teams finish with the highest team GPA, out of 25 sports that the conference sponsors.

Along with earning the conference's Team GPA title, the women's track & field squads were crowned NEC champions - for both the indoor and outdoor sessions - for the first time in program history.

The women's golf and men's indoor track & field teams are repeat winners of the honor, receiving the NEC Team GPA award at the conclusion of last year.

For baseball, the Seahawks have been winners of the NEC's Team GPA award two times in the last three seasons, after picking up its first-ever NEC Team GPA Award after the 2022-23 academic year.

The NEC's Institutional Academic Award is presented annually to the conference member who attains the highest overall institutional grade-point average amongst student-athletes competing in sports sponsored by the NCAA Division I conference.

Mercyhurst received the NEC's Institutional Award after obtaining a department-wide GPA of 3.536. The Seahawks placed second with a GPA of 3.38, FDU finished third with a GPA of 3.38.

The NEC's 4,000+ student-athletes posted a 3.323 GPA, the conference's highest mark since 2021-22 and the fourth-best in league history. The all-time high remains 3.404, set during the 2019-20 academic year.

The most recent NEC Institutional Award granted to Wagner was back after the 2012-13 year when the Seahawks finished with an athletics-wide GPA of 3.31.

As a department, Wagner College athletics finished the 2024-25 year with a 3.40 GPA and a 3.38 among NEC teams.

This fall among all Wagner teams, student-athletes posted a 3.34 GPA, followed by an impressive 3.45 GPA in the spring. This past spring, 81 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA, while 24 teams concluded the academic year with a team GPA of 3.3 or higher.
