Ruth-Ann Chambers Named NEC Track & Field Athlete Of The Week For Colonial Relays Performance

Bridgewater, N.J. — After a big weekend at the Colonial Relays where she won the 400-meter hurdles invite and placed second in the 100-meter hurdles invite, senior Ruth-Ann Chambers has been named NEC Athlete of the Week.

It was a 58.77-second time that won the 400-meter hurdles for Chambers, with a 13.89-second finish landing her in second place in the 100-meter hurdles.

Now two weeks into outdoor track and field season, Chambers has two Athlete of the Week awards to her name as the women's team builds on its success from indoor season.

The women's team finished fourth at William and Mary's Colonial Relays over the weekend, with Chambers' events being two of ten top-ten finishes across two days. Next up, the team heads to Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic beginning Saturday, April 12.
