Men’s Golf Finishes Fifth At NEC Championship

Williamsburg, VA - The Wagner men's golf team finished fifth at the NEC Championship, posting a +40. 

The Seahawks combined for a team score of 892 after 54 holes at the Kingsmill Resort River Course.

Freshman Emilio Zapian paced the Seahawks, tying for 11th overall with a +7 performance, highlighted by six birdies and an eagle. Junior Alavid Melo Iturralde finished 17th at +11, carding back-to-back rounds of +2 to close out the tournament. Graduate student Thomas Choi and freshman Daniel Cassidy rounded out Wagner's top performers, each tying for 18th with a +12 total.

The Seahawks' fifth-place showing marks a three-spot improvement from last season's eighth-place finish.
