Williamsburg, VA – The Wagner men's golf team is gearing up for the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship, which tees off on Thursday, April 23, at the Kingsmill Resort's River Course. The championship spans three days and 54 holes, concluding on Saturday, April 26.
Team scores are determined by combining the four lowest individual scores from each day of play. At the tournament's end, the top 10 individual finishers will earn All-Tournament Team honors.
Joining Wagner in the field are the defending champion Howard, Binghamton, Chicago St., FDU, Le Moyne, LIU, UMES, Mercyhurst, NC Central, and Saint Francis U.
This spring, the Seahawks competed in four events and posted a team scoring average of 315.1 per round. Leading the way was junior Alavid Melo Iturralde, who recorded an impressive 73-stroke average per round.
In last year's NEC Championship, Wagner placed 8th overall, finishing with a team average round score of 304.
