Staten Island, NY – Julia Fabozzi of the Wagner women's basketball team has been selected to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, the organization announced today. The graduate guard earned recognition for her outstanding performance both on the court and in the classroom.
A Staten Island native, Fabozzi was the Seahawks' leading scorer, averaging 15.6 points per game, which ranked fourth in the Northeast Conference. She also led the team in rebounds, grabbing 6.6 boards per game, placing her sixth in the conference. Fabozzi made history with a 40-point game against LIU on February 6, tying for sixth place in Wagner's all-time records. In addition to her athletic achievements, Fabozzi is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Management.
Academic All-District selections move on to the Academic All-America ballot, with the first, second, and third-team honorees to be revealed on April 16.
To be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA, have participated in at least 90 percent of the season's events, or have started in at least 66 percent of the team's games.
