Loretto, PA - The Wagner College women's lacrosse team picked up its first win of the 2025 season with an 11-5 victory over Northeast Conference (NEC) opponent SFU on DeGol Field on Saturday afternoon.
Wagner scored three goals before Saint Francis was able to tack on its first score. The Seahawks would outscore the Red Flash, 4-0, in the second quarter to head into the locker room with a 7-1 advantage.Â
Senior Katie Siverson scored three goals in the first half. For Siverson, she has scored in all six games this season and leads the Seahawk roster with 13 goals scored.Â

Senior Emily Ryan and sophomore Amelia Logan both scored one goal during the first half, with Ryan also adding two assists to both of Hall's second quarter scores.
In the second half, the Seahawks and Red Flash both scored four goals as Wagner would pick up its first conference win of the 2025 season by a score of 11-5. With the win, Wagner improves to 1-5 overall with a 1-1 mark in NEC play.
With the loss, SFU falls to 2-6 on its 2025 campaign and ties the Seahawks with a 1-1 record in conference.Â
Ryan and Siverson scored the Green & White's first two goals of the second half on free positions shots.Â
Senior Kristian Pisano extended Wagner's lead to a game-high eight when she found the back of the net with 6:25 left in the third quarter.
In the fourth, Pisano scored the Seahawks' lone goal off the feed from Logan with just under nine minutes remaining. For Pisano, Saturday's game marked the first multi-goal game for the Needham, MA native.Â
Graduate student Ryan Murphy caused a season-high four turnovers, season-high four draw controls, and collected four draw controls - second only to sophomore Alex Wright who corralled season-high six draw controls.Â
In net, sophomore Grace DeCarolis allowed a season-low five goals and saved 12 shots across all 60 minutes of action. DeCarolis finished with a saved percent of 70.6%, saving 12 out of the Red Flash's 17 shots on target.Â
DeCarolis earned her fifth win during her career as a Seahawk.
As a team, the Seahawks took six more shots on target than the Red Flash, 23-17. Wagner also grabbed six more draw controls than SFU, 13-7.
Next up, the Green & White will host conference foe LIU on Wednesday, March 26 at 6:00 pm on Hameline Field.
