Deptford, NJ - The Wagner College women's bowling team participated in the Griffin Baker Tournament from Saturday, February 1 to Sunday, February 2 hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
The Seahawks competed in seven Baker-style matches, winning five out of seven. The Green & White defeated Holy Family (931-730), Alvernia (891-775), St. Thomas Aquinas (883-628), Felician (911-905), and Caldwell (934-848) and dropped games to Belmont Abbey (890-917) and Wilmington (DE) (850-901).
In bracket play, Wagner dropped a seven round match to Adelphi before taking down Norfolk State to earn 11th place overall.
Individually, junior Angelia Lubrano recorded an 18.99 average/frame and an 80.9% overall fill percentage as Wagner's primary anchor. She also averaged a 216 in Wagner's third match of the weekend against Belmont Abbey.
Senior Kristina Colon recorded an 18.02 average/frame and a 76.6% overall fill percentage. Averaged a 215 in Wagner's fifth match of the weekend against St. Thomas Aquinas.
Overall, the Seahawks went 6-3 on the weekend, averaging a pinfall of 176.2 over 47 games.
Next up, the Green & White will compete in the Northeast Conference (NEC) Meet from Friday, February 14 to Sunday, February 16 in Altoona, PA.
