Floortje Leunisse Selected to the NFHCA Division I Mideast All-Region Second Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wagner College junior forward Floortje Leunisse was tabbed to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coach's Association (NFHCA) Division I All-Region Mideast Team, announced by the Association on Wednesday, December 3.

The NFHCA divides all Division I teams into five regions: Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Northeast, South and West. Each of these regions recognizes up to 16 student-athletes on both the first team and the second team.

In her third season on Grymes Hill, Leunisse ranked first on the Seahawks' roster in goals (9), assists (6), total points (24), and game-winners (5), logging over 1000 minutes while attempting 71 shots, 40 of which were on target.

During the regular season, Leunisse scored the lone goals at Sacred Heart, at LIU, at Stonehill, and against Saint Francis U in the semifinal round of the postseason tournament, all four of which ended in 1-0 decisions.

At the conclusion of the 2025 regular season, Leunisse was named All-NEC Second Team as a forward.

Last season, Cami Valor and Charlotte Müller were named to the 2024 NFHCA Division I Mideast All-Region Second Team.

Leunisse is the fourth Seahawks since 2019 to be honored onto a NFHCA All-Region Team. Along with Leunisse, Valor, and Muller, Julia Cruces Pastorino earned First Team honors in 2022.
