BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Three Seahawks — junior Floortje Leunisse, senior Hailey Bianchino and freshman Julia de Leeuw — have been named to the 2025 All-NEC second team, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
The trio earn the honor before heading into the first round of the 2025 NEC Tournament, the team's second consecutive appearance in the conference postseason in their second year under head coach Aubrey Mytych.
Junior midfielder Floortje Leunisse has started all 18 games for the Seahawks, logging a team-leading eights goals and six assists for 22 total points. She has recoded 66 shots, including 38 shots on goal. The junior has four game-winning goals to her name through 2025.
Her season high in scoring came on Sept. 28 against Mercyhurst, a two-goal, eight-shot performance that helped the Seahawks on the way to a 6-0 shutout. Leunisse was named Prime Performer on Sept. 30 for the effort.
Senior midfielder Hailey Bianchino has been a key factor in the Seahawks' offense, appearing in 17 games with 12 points.
She had back-to-back scoring games in late September against Fairfield and New Haven, earning NEC Prime Performer for the effort, then added two assists against Mercyhurst on Sept. 28. On Oct. 17 against Merrimack, she added two more goals to her total to secure her second Prime Performer nod of the season
A major impact on Wagner's back line, freshman defender Julia de Leeuw has appeared in all 18 of the Seahawks' games in her freshman season, starting 17. In addition to providing protection in four shutouts, de Leeuw also logged five goals and a pair of assists for a total of twelve points.
Her offense shone in early October, when the freshman scored back-to-back-to back against LIU, Hofstra and Merrimack. She was named NEC Rookie of the Week on Oct. 14 for the effort.
The Seahawks hit the road for the 2025 NEC Tournament, heading to Fairfield, Connecticut as the No. 3 seed to take on No. 2 Saint Francis U on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. EST.
