STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Dwan McMillan has been named interim head coach of the Wagner College men's basketball team as the Seahawks begin the 2025–26 season.

McMillan rejoined the Wagner staff in 2024 as an assistant coach after two seasons at Fordham University (2022–24), where he served as video coordinator in his first season before being elevated to director of player development and recruiting coordinator in his second year.

A Brooklyn native, McMillan began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Mercyhurst University (2012–14) before serving as a graduate manager at Wagner for the 2014–15 season. McMillan also coached on the AAU circuit with New Heights.

As a player, McMillan competed at Hofstra University for two seasons, graduating in 2012, after transferring from Indian Hills Community College in Iowa.

Donald Copeland remains the head men's basketball coach at Wagner College.

Wagner will begin the 2025–26 season on Monday, November 3, facing VCU at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Va.
