Staten Island, NY - The Wagner women's water polo team unveiled its 2025 schedule, announced by the head coach Josh Hower. The Seahawks will compete in 27 games leading up to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships in April.
The Green & White are looking to repeat as MAAC Champions and win their ninth title in the last twelve years.Â
The season kicks off on January 25 at the Princeton Invitational with a game against Bucknell, followed by a doubleheader on January 26 against Azusa Pacific and Princeton.
In February, the action heats up at the Bruno Classic with games against Salem and Harvard on February 1, followed by Siena and Indiana on February 2. Wagner will then face Stanford and Indiana again on February 8, before wrapping up the month with a game against Michigan on February 9 at the Midwest Invite.
March starts with matchups against Siena and Brown on March 1, and Cal Baptist and Harvard on March 2 for the Harvard Invite. Mid-March features games against Marist and VMI on March 15, and Iona on March 16 for the VMI-MAAC Showcase. The Seahawks will then close out the month with games against La Salle on March 22 and a doubleheader against VMI and Villanova on March 23.
In April, Wagner will face LIU on April 5, followed by Siena and Mount on April 6. Villanova returns to the schedule on April 12, and we'll take on La Salle and LIU in a doubleheader on April 13 at the Spiro Sport Center. The final regular-season game will be against Princeton on April 16 at Princeton.
The season culminates with the MAAC Tournament, which will take place from April 25 to April 27.Â
Last season the Seahawks defeated Mount Saint Mary's and Marist en route to the title. In the NCAA Tournament, the Green & White defeated Biola in the opening round before falling to the eventual National Championship, UCLA, in the first round.
