Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College men's and women's track & field teams delivered impressive performances at the Wagner Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
On the women's side, freshman
Christine Manneh was the standout, claiming victories in both the 60m dash with a time of 7.80 and the 200m dash with a time of 26.08. Freshman Mia Petersen followed closely behind in the 60m dash, taking third place with a time of 8.00. In the 800m run, junior
Angelina Olah dominated with a first-place finish at 2:15.90, while sophomore Victoria Ann Dziubela claimed second in a time of 2:22.77.
In the mile, senior
Gia Comerford and sophomore
Rylee Ferretti finished strong, with Comerford taking first in 5:05.98 and Ferretti earning second with a time of 5:07.29. The pole vault saw solid performances from junior
Saranda Capani, who finished second with a height of 3.15m, and Mia Savino, who took fourth at 2.70m. Petersen also excelled in the triple jump, claiming first place with a distance of 10.91m.
For the men, junior
Alex Taddeo sprinted to a second-place finish in the 60m dash with a time of 6.88, while freshman
Jaden Hobbs earned third place in 7.06. In the mile, senior
Michael Ryan showcased his speed, winning with a time of 4:15.01. The long jump saw strong performances from freshman
Ty Lawless, who placed third with a leap of 6.79m, and senior
Kharlin Watkins, who finished fourth at 7.14m.
The Green & White will return to action for the Spartan Invitational Invitational on January 10 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
