Bethlehem, PA - The Wagner College field hockey team dropped its non-conference matchup at Lehigh by a score of 3-2 on Sunday afternoon.
After falling behind 2-0, the Seahawks scored two fourth quarter goals five minutes apart to tie the game at two.
Less than a minute into the fourth, sophomore Charlotte Muller found the bottom right of the cage on a penalty stroke after senior Emma Lofstedt drew the penalty with an aggressive drive into the circle.
With 9:40 remaining in the game, graduate student Cami Valor was set up by sophomore Pilar Lorenzini and Muller on a corner attempt to even the contest.
Thirty-two seconds later, Lehigh's Maddie Kandra scored a tip-in goal to grant the Mountain Hawks a 3-2 advantage.
Wagner earned 11 corner opportunities to Lehigh's two. The Green & White also outshot Lehigh, 16-14.
Freshman Saar van Dalen played the entirety of the game in goal for the Seahawks. The Houten, Netherlands native saved five shots for the second straight game.
Next up, Wagner will travel to Towson for a noon matchup against the Tigers on Sunday, September 8.
