Men's Cross Country

Cross Country Begins Season At Stony Brook Invite

Stony Brook, NY - The Wagner men's and women's cross country teams kicked off their season at the Stony Brook Invite on Saturday morning.

The men placed second with 63 points in the 6k while the women would finish fifth with 135 team points in the 4k.

Junior Justin Morris led Wagner finishing seventh with a time of 19:40.60 while senior Johnny Sokoll crossed the line in 10th with a time of 19:50.20. Junior Florian Henry finished 13th with a time of 19:57.00 followed by freshman Keegan Baluja in 15th with a time of 20:01.90. Rounding out the scoring for Wagner was sophomore Maxime Ricci finishing in 22nd with a time of 20:19.10. 

In the women's 4k, senior Gia Comerford finished 9th clocking in a time of 14:44.10. Senior Elizabeth Szambel placed 35th overall with a time of 16:01.80. Grad Ana Blanco Duran, junior Angela Cavalieri and sophomore Victoria Ann Dziubela crossed the line 49th, 51st and 53rd respectively, with times of 16:25.50, 16:29.50 and 16:33.80. 

The Seahawks will return to action on Saturday, September 21st at the Ted Owen Invite in New Britain, CT.
