Riverdale, NY - The Wagner women's soccer team fell to Manhattan on Sunday afternoon, 3-0.
The Jaspers jumped out to a 2-0 lead by the 23rd minute of the contest, putting the Seahawks in an early hole. Despite leading the half in shots, 4-3, Wagner entered the intermission trailing.
Manhattan added to their lead in the 69th minute, making it a 3-0 game.
Freshman Alana Arjona, who made her first career start, tied for the team lead in shots (2) along with junior Madeleine DiGaetano. DiGaetano led the team with two shots on goal.
Senior Olivia Rubbo and freshman Hailey Knapp competed in all 90 minutes of the contest as the Green & White fell to 0-2-2 on the season.
The Seahawks will return home for their next matchup, which will be on Thursday against Fordham at 7:00 pm.
