Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.
Women's Lacrosse
- Wagner will host Sacred Heart on Saturday at 12:00 pm. Prior to the contest, the Seahawks will honor their three seniors: Kesey Scheidel,
Ryan Murphy, and
Juliann Fabiano.
- Last week, the Seahawks went 1-1 as they earned a 17-9 win at FDU before falling 10-7 at Le Moyne.
- Ella Marino was named an NEC Prime Performer after having a two goals and three assists at FDU before scoring three goals at Le Moyne.
Men's Lacrosse
- The Seahawks will end the 2024 season at Manhattan on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
- Last week, the Seahawks went 0-2 with losses at VMI and Canisius.
Baseball
- The Seahawks will host Seton Hall on Tuesday at 7:00 pm. The game will take place at SIUH Community Park and will be a rematch of a previous outing played on February 27, where the Pirates won, 15-5.
- Wagner will then travel to Trenton, NJ, for its final series at Trenton Thunder Ballpark. It will take on NEC newcomer Le Moyne, with first pitch on Friday set for 3:00 pm. First pitch on Saturday is scheduled for 4:00 pm and the finale on Sunday is set for 12:00 pm.
- Last week, the Seahawks took a midweek contest at Iona, but lost 2-of-3 to Stonehill over the weekend.
Softball
- The Seahawks will travel to Syracuse, NY to take on Le Moyne in a doubleheader Saturday and a single game Sunday.
- Last week, Wagner dropped three games in a series against CCSU with scores of 1-7, 2-11, and 0-8.
Men's Golf
- The Seahawks will celebrate their seniors as they take on Fordham in a dual match on Thursday at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, NJ.
- Senior Thomas Choi led the way for Wagner this past weekend at the Roar EE Invitational with a tie for 22nd place.
Women's Golf
- Wagner will wrap up its season at the NEC Championship in Pine Mountain, GA, at the Callaway Resort Gardens from Friday through Sunday.
- This past weekend the Seahawks competed at the Navy Spring Invitational as junior Aisha Rodriguez led the way with a tie for 48th place.
Track & Field
-The women's and men's track & field teams with travel to Lawrenceville, NJ for the Rider Invite on Saturday, April 20th.
- Last time out, the Seahawks split as members of the program participated at the Bucknell Invite, while a select few athletes travel to Princeton for the Larry Ellis Invite.
- At the Larry Elilis Invite, junior Gia Comerford and sophomore Dario Sina de la Fuente both set new outdoor track & field school records in the 3000m Steeplechase and the javelin throw, respectively.
