STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.
Field Hockey
- The Seahawks continue NEC play as Wagner travels to Quinnipiac on Friday, October 2.
- Start time between the Seahawks and the Bobcats is set for 1:00 p.m. on Alumni Turf.
Football
- Following the bye week, the Seahawks will head to New Britain, Connecticut, for a matchup against two-time defending NEC champion CCSU.
- Kickoff is set for noon at Arute Field, with live coverage on NEC Front Row and the Ryz Sports Network.
Men's Basketball
- Wagner Basketball will tip off the 2026-27 season with Seahawk Madness on Saturday, Oct. 3, bringing the Seahawks' men's and women's basketball teams together with fans for an evening of entertainment, on-court competitions, team introductions and more at the Spiro Sports Center. Admission is free.
- The event begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening to the public at 6 p.m. The festivities will feature team introductions, a skills challenge, dunk contest, a three-point contest and performances from Wagner's cheerleading and dance teams.
- Fans can also enjoy a live DJ, free pizza and a poster giveaway.
Men's Cross Country
- After two weeks off following the Seahawks' second meet of 2026, Wagner heads to Lehigh's Paul Short Run on Friday, Oct. 2. This meet is the nation's largest intercollegiate cross country race.
- Held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Lehigh's Goodman course, the Seahawks will compete in the collegiate Brown division at 2 p.m., which features an 8K course.
Men's Water Polo
- Wagner returns to Staten Island and is set to host Iona at the Spiro Sports Center on Friday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
- The Friday evening matchup against the Gaels marks the Seahawks' 2026 home opener following four consecutive road tournaments.
Triathlon
- The Green & White take part in the Navy Collegiate Cup on Sunday, Oct. 4 in Annapolis, Maryland.
Women's Basketball

Women's Golf
- Wagner travels to Lopatcong, New Jersey, to compete in the Autumn Harvest tournament at Architects Golf Club.
- The two-day event takes place from Monday, Sept. 28, through Tuesday, Sept. 29.
Women's Cross Country
- The Seahawks head to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Friday, Oct. 2 to compete in Lehigh's Paul Short Run, the nation's largest intercollegiate cross country race.
- Wagner will run the Goodman course, beginning at 2:45 p.m. with the team running a 6K race.
Women's Soccer
- The Seahawks continue NEC play on Thursday, Oct. 1, traveling to West Haven, Connecticut, to face New Haven. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
- Wagner will then return to Hameline Field to host Stonehill on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m.
- Last week, the Green & White remained unbeaten in conference play with a 1-0 victory over Howard.
