This Week in Wagner Athletics; Eight Teams in Action as Bowling Begins 2026-27 Campaign

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week. 

Bowling

- Wagner kicks off its first season under head coach Ian Parisi at the Bud Whitman Memorial, beginning Saturday, Oct. 10. 


- Held at Bowlero Lanes in Deptford, New Jersey, the Seahawks are competing through Sunday, Oct. 11 in the first of a pair of meets they host to open the 2026-2027 season. 

Field Hockey

- Wagner is back in action on Friday, Oct. 9, hosting Sacred Heart. Start time is set for 3 p.m. at the Wagner College Field Hockey Complex.


- Last week, the Seahawks moved into the top spot in the NEC standings after earning a 2-1 road victory over Quinnipiac. The win extended the Green & White's winning streak to four games.


Football

- Wagner returns to Staten Island for a non-conference matchup against Princeton on Saturday, Oct. 10. Kickoff is set for noon on Hameline Field, with live coverage available on NEC Front Row and SI TV.


- Fans can enjoy Family Fun Fest as part of the gameday experience, featuring face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy and more!


Men's Golf

- Wagner concludes competition at the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational on Monday, Oct. 5, at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Vestal, N.Y.


- The Seahawks return to action later in the week at the Bucknell Fall Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa., competing at the Bachman Golf Center from Sunday, Oct. 11, through Tuesday, Oct. 13.


Men's Tennis

- The Seahawks will compete against Monmouth at the Monmouth Outdoor Tennis Complex in West Long Branch, N.J. on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 3:30 p.m. This will be Wagner's first dual match of the season


- The Green & White will then compete at the Fordham Invitational starting on Saturday Oct. 10, and ending on Sunday, Oct. 11. Last season, the event was cut short by one day due to the weather.


Men's Water Polo

- Wagner travels to the Bronx, N.Y., to take on Fordham at the Messmore Aquatics Center on Friday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m.


- Wagner returns to Staten Island, N.Y., for a Sunday doubleheader at the Spiro Sports Center on Oct. 11, opening the day against Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) opponent Navy at 10:00 a.m.


- The Seahawks close out the home stand later that afternoon, taking on George Washington at 4:00 p.m.

Women's Soccer

- The Seahawks are back in action on Sunday, Oct. 11, hitting the road to face LIU. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at the SUSA Sports Complex in Central Islip, N.Y.


Women's Tennis

- The Seahawks will take on Monmouth for their first dual match of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 7. The match will be played at the Monmouth Outdoor Tennis Complex in West Long Branch, N.J. starting at 3:30 p.m.
