Piscataway, NJ - The Wagner women's basketball team (2-8, 0-0 NEC) dropped a non-conference matchup to Rutgers (7-4, 0-1 B1G), 86-48, Sunday afternoon at Jersey Mike's Arena.

Graduate student Julia Fabozzi led the scoring effort with 18 points (7-of-15 FG, 3-of-8 3FG). Freshman Keana Foz added 11 points while junior Hawa Balde-Camara posted eight points and four rebounds.

Foz got the Seahawks off to a fast start, scoring the team's first nine points. With 3:25 left in the first quarter, the Green & White trailed by just one, 10-9.

The Scarlet Knights began to pull away in the second quarter outscoring Wagner 26-10 and taking a 45-21 lead into the locker room. Fabozzi scored eight of her 18 points in this quarter highlighted by back-to-back triples.
In the third, the Seahawks found momentum, holding Rutgers to its lowest scoring quarter. Balde-Camara ended the quarter with a layup courtesy of a pass from Fabozzi.

The final quarter saw the Scarlet Knights continue their dominance en route to an 86-48 victory over Wagner.
