Bonelli, Spruill, And Stafford Earn All-NEC Honors

Staten Island, NY – Sophomore Jaylen Bonelli, senior Rickey Spruill, and graduate student Chase Stafford of the Wagner College football team earned Second Team All-Northeast Conference (NEC) honors, the league announced on Wednesday.
 
Bonelli, last year's NEC Rookie of the Year, led Wagner with 789 receiving yards and six touchdowns on the season. The Florida native made a season-high 11 receptions against Columbia while recording a season-best 149 receiving yards and a touchdown in Wagner's road win at Delaware State.
 
Spruill ran into the Seahawk record books this season, as he finishes his career with 2,126 rushing yards, good for ninth in Wagner history. In 2024, Spruill led Wagner with 590 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns, while also adding 204 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.
 
Stafford was one of the NEC's leading receivers and finished the 2024 campaign with 138 receiving yards along with touchdowns at Florida Atlantic and against Saint Francis U.
 
CCSU's Elijah Howard, Kimal Clark, and Christopher Jean won NEC Offensive Player, Defensive Player, and Defensive Rookie of the Year honors, respectively, with Duquesne's Shawn Solomon Jr. taking home the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. CCSU head coach Adam Lechtenberg won the league's Coach of the Year award.
