Football Announces 2026 Schedule

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Wagner College football team has announced its 2026 schedule, which includes two matchups against FBS opponents and five home games at Hameline Field.

This marks the ninth season overall and sixth straight in which Wagner will face two FBS opponents.

The Seahawks will kick off their campaign with a conference home opener on Saturday, Aug. 29 against Robert Morris. It marks the first time since 2001 that Wagner has opened its season with a conference game.

Wagner will welcome Southern Connecticut State to Hameline Field on Saturday, Sept. 5.

The Seahawks will then travel to Harrisonburg, Va., to face FBS member James Madison — a College Football Playoff participant last season — on Saturday, Sept. 12, before another FBS road matchup at California on Saturday, Sept. 19, in Berkeley, Calif.

Following a bye week, Wagner will head to New Britain, Conn. for a meeting with the reigning NEC Champions Central Connecticut State on Saturday, Oct. 3.

The Seahawks return home for back-to-back contests at Hameline Field, hosting Princeton on Saturday, Oct. 10 and LIU on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Wagner will then embark on a three-game road swing at Duquesne (Saturday, Oct. 24), Merrimack (Saturday, Oct. 31), and Mercyhurst (Saturday, Nov. 7).

The Seahawks will host their final home game of the season against conference newcomer New Haven on Saturday, Nov. 14, before concluding the regular season at Stonehill on Saturday, Nov. 21.

Game times and television networks will be announced at a later date.
