STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Atlanta Falcons of the NFL have signed former Seahawk defensive lineman Chris Williams.
Williams spent the last two seasons with the Bears, appearing in 14 regular-season games a season ago. The 6-foot-2, 298-pound defensive lineman totaled 14 tackles and one sack while playing 24 percent of the team's defensive snaps.
He helped Chicago secure its first postseason berth since 2020, as the Bears finished the regular season with 11 wins, their highest total since 2018.
At Wagner, Williams earned back-to-back All-NEC honors, including a First Team selection in 2019. He emerged as an NFL prospect following a dominant senior campaign and a standout performance at the East-West Shrine Bowl alongside teammate Cam Gill. Williams capped his final collegiate season with 62 tackles, four sacks, and 11.5 tackles for loss. He recorded two sacks in Wagner's victory over LIU and led the Green & White with 11 tackles in the season-opening matchup at FBS opponent UConn.
