North Easton, MA - The Wagner women's soccer dropped its road matchup at Stonehill on Sunday afternoon at Skyhawk Field, 3-2.
It was a tale of two halves as the Seahawks jumped in front 2-0 in the first half before yielding three goals in the second half.
Junior Emma Roe got the scoring started early, firing in a 3rd minute goal off of multiple deflections. Graduate student Madison Carr then delivered a penalty kick goal in the 30th minute, putting Wagner in a good position on the road.
But Stonehill didn't back down, scoring three times in the final 45 minutes.
Wagner held the shot advantage, 18-12, with half of the 18 shots being on goal.
The Seahawks will still hold a playoff spot heading into their second consecutive road game on Thursday, October 12 at Delaware State. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
