Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for the week.
Football
 - Wagner will take on Duquesne on Saturday at Hameline Field, with kickoff set for noon.
-At 3-2 in conference play, the Seahawks are tied for second place in the NEC. On Saturday, Wagner will take on the lone undefeated team in the circuit in Duquesne, as the Dukes sit at 4-0 in NEC action.Â
- Wagner's defense has not allowed a point in the second half in two consecutive games.Â
- Steven Krajewski, Junior Wily, and Zachary Ricci were all named NEC Prime Performers for their efforts in Wagner's win over Stonehill.Â
- Wily is tied for 16th in the country with 0.4 interceptions per game this year.Â
- Jaylen Bonelli is fourth in the country among freshmen with 56 yards receiving per game.Â
- The Seahawks have eight interceptions this year, tied for 26th in the country and first in the NEC.
- Wagner is tied for 11th in the country with two defensive scores this year.
- With just 46 penalty yards per game, the Seahawks lead the NEC and sit at 23rd in the country.Â

Field Hockey
- Wagner qualified for the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament for the third consecutive season with a 3-0 win at Stonehill on Friday, October 27.
- The Seahawks wrapped up the regular season with four consecutive victories, three of which were in NEC contests.
- The Seahawks will be the #4 seed in the NEC Tournament as they will take on NEC regular season champions Fairfield on Friday, November 3 at 11:00 am.
Women's Soccer
- The Seahawks made some noise in the NEC Tournament on Sunday when they went on the road and defeated #3 seed FDU, 3-0. It marked the first playoff victory in program history. Graduate student Madison Carr, freshman Jess Maraia and junior Olivia Rubbo all scored. Junior Sam Hughes recorded a clean sheet on nine saves.
- With the win, the Green & White will draw top-seeded Merrimack in the semifinals on Thursday, November 2 at 7:00 pm in North Andover, MA. The Seahawks fell to the Warriors, 1-0, in their lone regular season meeting on September 21.
- An NEC championship game berth is on the line on Thursday. It would be a program first for the Seahawks. They would either face-off against #2 seed CCSU or #4 seed Howard.
Men's Water Polo
- The men's water polo team will conclude their regular season with three MAWPC games between Friday, November 3 and Sunday, November 5.
- The Seahawks will begin their trifecta of games at Navy of Friday, then will play George Washington on Saturday, and will conclude their weekend against Johns Hopkins on Sunday.
- Wagner heads into the weekend riding their longest win-streak of the season, winning their last four matches, three against conference opponents.Â
Men's Golf
- Wagner will host its first competition of the season on Monday and Tuesday this week at Montclair Golf Club in Montclair, NJ.
- At last year's Metropolitan Intercollegiate, junior Thomas Choi took home the top prize and the team as a whole finished in second place.
Bowling
- Wagner will host the 'Seahawk Invite' from Saturday, November 4 to Sunday, November 5 at Rab's Country Lanes.
- Last time out, the Seahawks placed second at the SHU Bowl For A Cure tournament, in which Angelia Lubrano placed first amongst total pinfall and average pinfall per game.
Swimming & Diving
- The Seahawks will participate in their second tri-meet of the season this upcoming weekend when they take on CCSU and Southern Connecticut State on Saturday, November 4.
- Both the men's and women's teams dropped their respective matchups to Fairfield this past weekend and will be looking to bounce back in Connecticut this weekend.
Fencing
- The Drew Invitational awaits the Wagner fencing program on Sunday, November 5. It will be the first team competition of the season.
- In their last time out, the men's program made a historic first impression as freshman Flavio Vinci came in second place overall in the sabre competition at the Garret Open, hosted by Penn State.
