North Andover, MA – The Wagner College women's basketball team earned a 69-63 Northeast Conference (NEC) victory at Merrimack on Monday evening.
The win moves Wagner to 9-6 overall and 4-0 in NEC play for the first time since the 2001-02 season.
Wagner outscored Merrimack 22-13 behind 6-8 shooting from the field in the opening frame. The Green & White also shot 10-11 from the free throw line.
The Warriors fought back in the second quarter as they outscored Wagner 18-9, the game entered the second half knotted at 31.

Drayah Heyward led the way in the first half with 10 points as junior
Julia Fabozzi tallied nine points.
The game continued to be a tight affair in the third quarter, Wagner held Merrimack to just eight points while scoring 12. Fifth year senior

Zhaneia Thybulle each tallied four points in the third.
Both teams were able to score consistently in the fourth quarter, as Wagner tallied 26 points and Merrimack tallied 24 points.
Alex Cowan took over in the fourth quarter, tallying 12 points on 3-4 shooting.
Cowan finished with a game-high 20 points on 4-8 shooting, the Bowie, MD native converted on all 10 of her free throws.
Wagner will be back in action on Thursday, January 19 when they welcome Stonehill to the Spiro Sports Center at 7:00 pm.
