Daisy Ruhle Earns NEC Honors
Daisy Ruhle earned her third career Northeast Conference (NEC) Defensive Player of the Week honor, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The Marlow, England native eclipsed the century mark in saves in the team's first game of the season against Hofstra. Ruhle is also the program's all-time leader with 10 wins.
Ruhle claimed seven saves against Hofstra before stopping two crucial shots in the penalty shootout to lift Wagner to the victory.
Kira Mordvinov was recognized as a Prime Performer by the NEC. The Stroudsberg, PA native tallied the first of the season for Wagner while tallying four shots.
About Yale
Yale will open its 2022 season on Grymes Hill after finishing 9-8 last season. The Bulldogs owned an 8-3 record at home and had a 1-5 record away from New Haven, CT.
Sophomore Julia Freedman earned the right to play for Team USA at the Maccabiah Games in July.
