Members of Newly-Minted NEC Champions Compete At Princeton Elite Invitational And IC4A's

Princeton, NJ / Williamsburg, VA - Members of the newly-minted Northeast Conference (NEC) Men's Outdoor Track and Field champions competed at the Princeton Elite Invitational while Michael Hubert and Robert Guidicipietro represented the Seahawks at the IC4A's. 

Freshman Ruth-Ann Chambers was the lone member of the women's team to compete as she placed sixth overall in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.44 in lowering her school-record in the process.

The men's 4x400 relay squad of Cyril Babcanec, Thomas Corel, Jason Marchese, and Joshua Cadet finished first in the event with a time of 3:15.81. 

Marchese, the newly-crowned NEC champion in the 400m hurdles, finished first with a time of 52.36 while teammate Josiah Cadet, who holds the program record in the event, finished third with a time of 53.01. 

Will Cuthbertson also rewrote his own school record in the 800m, as the Staten Island, NY native finished second with a time of 1:47.93. 

Thomas Corel lowered his school-record in the 400m, as the veteran Seahawk clocked in with a personal-best time of 47.39 to place third overall. 

Joshua Cadet finished fourth overall with a time 21.71 in the 200m while Dominic Palermo finished fourth overall in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:01.54. Yannik Gerland wasn't far off the pace, finishing sixth overall with a time of 9:13.58. 

Mahmoud Abdalla placed 14th with a time of 1:50.79 in the 800m while in the 5,000m, Jean Uminski rounded out the top-20 finishers in 14:49.83. Teammate Anthony Bentivegna placed among the top-25 in the event with a time of 14:53.68. 

At the IC4A's in Williamsburg, VA, Michael Hubert placed among the top-20 in the 800m with a time of 1:54.60 while Robert Guidicipietro concluded the 10000m with a time of 32:05.57 to place among the top-15.
