BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Senior Christopher Milillo has been named the NEC's Co-Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

This is Milillo's first time winning the award. The senior logged a 62.07m hammer throw at the Monmouth Home Opener on Friday, March 27 to win the event. His throw outpaced second-place Christian Saparata by almost ten meters and he finished first of 13 competitors. 

His throw broke the previously established school record of 60.71m, set by Lufti Pocesta at the 2021 NEC Outdoor Championships.

Next up, the Seahawks will compete in William and Mary's Colonial Relays, beginning Friday, April 3 at Zable Stadium and wrapping up Saturday, April 4.
