Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College softball team will travel to Lafayette on Wednesday for the Seahawks' final non-conference game of the season.
Originally scheduled as a doubleheader, the Seahawks and Leopard will now play just one game, with first pitch at 3:00 pm. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+
Wagner went 4-2 last week with series wins over LIU and Sacred Heart.
For her performance across the six games, senior
Nora Conway was named the Northeast Conference's (NEC) Co-Player of the Week.
The senior recorded five multi-hit games, recording two hits apiece in all three games against the Sharks and three hits apiece in the final two games against the Pioneers.
Conway also scored six runs in the process while recording three RBIs.
On the season, Conway leads the Seahawks with a .357 average and 35 hits.
In the circle, sophomore
Scarlett Lloyd went 3-0 last week and made history. Lloyd surpassed 100 strikeouts for her career as well as this season and now sits second all-time in program history for strikeouts in a single season with 105. Lloyd only trails Krystle Petty, who struck out 113 batters in 2001.
Lafayette enters Wednesday's game with a 7-29 overall record, most recently earning a split against Saint Peter's.
Following Wednesday's game, the Seahawks will host Saint Francis U on Saturday and Sunday for the penultimate regular season series of the season.
