North Andover, MA – The Wagner women's lacrosse team is set to resume Northeast Conference (NEC) play on Saturday at Merrimack.

Kasey Dorney. the back of the net to give Wagner a 9-8 lead in a seesaw third stanza. For Dorney, it was her 100th career point as a member of the Wagner Seahawks. Following the goal by Dorney, the Scarlet Knights ended the third quarter on a 3-0 run to take an 11-9 lead to the final stanza.

Katie Siverson tallied goals for the Seahawks in the final four minutes but it wasn't enough as Wagner fell in the contest.
Kelsey Scheidel notched a career high four goals in the contest to go along with one assist, two ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw control.

Seahawk Milestones
Stefani Peluso earned her 100th career point in the NEC opener against Central Connecticut State on March 26 behind four goals in the contest. Classmate
Madeline Seims tallied her 150th career point as a member of the Green & White against LIU on March 30. For Seims, she moved into sole possession of seventh place in career points and is fourth in career goals with 136.

Historic NEC Run
Wagner has reached the NEC title game in every season since 2014 while claiming a championship in 2016, 2018, and 2019. During the run to seven consecutive title games, the Green & White have finished second in the regular season in 2021, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, and 2014. Wagner entered the 2017 NEC tournament as the #3 seed. In 2014, the Seahawks entered the season picked seventh in the preseason poll and claimed second in the regular season and earned a trip to the conference championship game.
Wagner currently sits at 3-1 in conference play and is tied for third place with Merrimack.
About Merrimack
The Warriors welcome the Seahawks with a 3-9 overall record and 3-1 mark in NEC play. The Warriors fell to non-conference opponent UMass Lowell in its last contest, 16-5 Wednesday, April 13.
Merrimack will be seeking its first victory against Wagner as the Seahawks hold a 2-0 advantage over the Warriors. The Warrior attack is led by graduate student Meghan Dzialo who has 33 goals this season while Dzialo and classmate Catherine Mahanna are tied the team lead with 34 points.
