Staten Island, NY- The Wagner men's lacrosse team won its second straight game, defeating Mercer 13-4 on Saturday at Hameline Field.

Aidan Clark and
Stephen Dwyer each netted four goals on the day. For Clark, this is his third straight game with at least three goals.
Patrick Caldwell posted a two-goal game.
Carson Skinner,
Eli Fisher, and
Brendan Higgins scored their first collegiate goals.

Wagner outscored the Bears 10-1 in the second half. The Seahawks rattled off eight straight goals to close out the game. Saturday's win is the first time the Seahawks have defeated the Bears in six meetings.

Caldwell got Wagner on the board and tied the game at 1-1 heading into the second quarter.

Mercer took a 2-1 lead on a Patrick Rockefeller goal before Caldwell scored his second of the day to tie it again at 2-2.

Higgins then scored on an open net for his first goal as a Seahawk to make it 3-2.

Mercer added one before the half to make it 3-3 going into the break.

Dwyer and Clark opened the second half scoring for Wagner, giving the Seahawks a 5-3 advantage early in the third.

Clay Welch scored Mercer's final goal of the day with 6:48 left in the third. From there on out, it was all Wagner as the Seahawks scored eight straight goals to close out the game.

Goalkeeper
Danny Brady made 11 saves in goal for the Green & White. With the victory, Wagner moves to 2-3 and Mercer falls to 3-5. The Seahawks have won consecutive games for the first time since March 2019. The Green & White are 2-0 at Hameline Field this season.
