Hackensack, NJ – The Wagner College men's basketball team erased a five-point deficit in the final 42 seconds of regulation to force overtime, but it wasn't enough, as the Seahawks fell 88-86 in overtime on Thursday night at Fairleigh Dickinson.
With the loss, Wagner falls to 19-4 on the year and 15-2 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play, setting up a winner-take-all showdown for the NEC regular season title in Wagner's final regular season game on Saturday at Bryant.

Will Martinez added 21 points on 9-13 shooting off the bench. Redshirt-senior
Raekwon Rogers contributed 11 points, while sophomore
DeLonnie Hunt was the fourth Seahawk in double figures with 10 points.
After Wagner built a 40-31 halftime lead, FDU fought its way back into the contest and took a 77-72 lead on a pair of Brandon Rush free throws with 42 seconds to play. Rush led the Knights with 36 points on the night.
Following a Martinez layup, the Knights missed one of two free throws. On the ensuing possession, freshman
Javier Ezquerra got the Seahawks within one at 78-77 with a clutch three-pointer. After FDU once again missed one of its free throws, Morales tied the game with nine seconds to play to force the extra period.
In overtime, four straight Morales points gave Wagner am 86-84 advantage with 1:51 to play, but the Knights scored the final four points of the game to earn the victory.
The Seahawks were 34-71 (47.9%) from the field throughout the contest and held a 44-27 advantage on the glass to go along with 19 assists.
