The visitors outscored the Green & White 4-1 in the first 14 minutes of the third quarter to tie the contest at eight. Freshman
Katie Siverson scored her second goal of the afternoon with 58 seconds remaining in the quarter to give Wagner a 9-8 lead. Siverson has scored at least two goals in her first two games as a member of the Green & White.
Fairfield put a stamp on the contest in the final stanza as they opened the quarter on a 4-0 run to take a 12-9 lead.
Stefani Peluso tallied the lone goal of the fourth quarter for Wagner.

Katie Siverson all tallied two goals for Wagner as Henwood led the team with six shots on goal. Along with scoring one goal,
Stefani Peluso dished out two assists. Senior goalkeeper
Lauren DiStefano stopped 17 shots in the contest.
DiStefano And Siverson Nab Player Of The Week Honors
After strong performances against Fairfield on Saturday,
Lauren DiStefano and
Katie Siverson were tabbed with Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week honors.
DiStefano claimed her second career Defensive Player of the Week honor after claiming the same recognition on March 15, 2021. The senior captain stopped 17 shots against Fairfield as she was dominant through the first three quarters, holding Fairfield to eight goals while making 14 stops. She caused one turnover and collected two ground balls.
Siverson garners her second NEC honor in as many weeks as she was tabbed a Prime Performer last week after her two-goal performance against Drexel in her first career game on Grymes Hill. The Morristown, NJ native tallied two goals and claimed a game-high six draw controls in Wagner's contest against Fairfield. Siverson's second goals of the afternoon came with 58 seconds remaining in the third quarter to put the Seahawks on top, 9-8.
Along with being named Defensive Player of the Week, DiStefano was named Prime Performer along with graduate student
Victoria Tucci who scored twice on Saturday.
Historic Run
Wagner has reached the NEC title game in every season since 2014 while claiming the crown in 2016, 2018, and 2019. During the Seahawks run to seven consecutive championship games, the Green & White finished second in the regular season in 2021, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, and 2014. Wagner entered the 2017 NEC Tournament as the #3 seed. In 2014, the Green & White entered the season picked seventh in the Preseason Poll and finished second in the regular season while earning a trip to the NEC Championship game.
Last Time Against Manhattan
The Seahawks hold a 12-5 advantage over the Jaspers and are currently riding a six-game win streak against Manhattan. The last time these two sides met was on March 16, 2019, at Hameline Field, a game in which Wagner prevailed with a 10-5 victory. Graduate student

About Manhattan
Manhattan dropped its season opener at Columbia, 13-7, on Saturday February 19. The Jaspers return senior attack Grace Lipponer who was picked All-MAAC honors. Lipponer paced the Jaspers with 32 goals last season and supplied seven assists for 39 points. The Second Team All-MAAC selection from a season ago ranked seventh in the MAAC in gaosl per game last season. Manhattan also returns Jillian Reiner after earning a spot on the All-Rookie team last season.
