Brockport, NY – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has announced its annual Division I National Academic Squad, Division I Scholars of Distinction, and the Division I National Academic Team Award.
On Tuesday, February 8, the NFHCA announced its Division I National Academic Squad which featured 21 members of the Wagner College field hockey program. The National Academic Squad honors collegiate student athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year. Andreyev, Brushingam, Deharbe, Dudek, Erlandson, Kobrynich, Martina, Mordvinov, Muller, Nelson, Theofilopoulos, Ruhle, and Van Hamburg are current members of the program who received this honor in 2020 and in 2021.
On Tuesday, February 15, the NFHCA announced its Division I Scholars of Distinction which honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade=point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year. This list included eight members of the Wagner field hockey program.

Wagner was also recognized by the NFCHA as a member of the National Academic Team which recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher through the fall semester of the current academic year. The Seahawks tallied a cumulative grade point average of 3.41 through the fall academic year and is one of 79 Division I institutions to receive this honor.
