The Seahawks outscored the Highlanders 21-9 in the first quarter behind
Zhaneia Thybulle's six points and two rebounds. The Seahawks tallied 14 points in the paint while holding the Highlanders to just two paint points.
NJIT outscored Wagner 16-4 in the second quarter as the game was tied at 25 entering the second half.
The Seahawks put a stamp on the contest in the third quarter as they outscored the Highlanders 29-13, Wagner shot 12-18 in the frame.
Zhaneia Thybulle tallied 12 points in the third quarter on 5-7 shooting while junior
Julia Fabozzi tallied eight points on 4-4 shooting in the frame.
Wagner's second unit outscored NJIT's 10-1 as Wagner took 54-38 into the final frame.
NJIT went on to outscore Wagner 16-14 but the lead the Seahawks built in the third quarter was enough to hold on.
Along with a career-high 21 points, Thybulle tallied five rebounds and four assists.
The Seahawks will wrap up non-conference play on Wednesday, December 21 at St. John's.
