Men’s Tennis Completes the Navy Gold Invitational

Annapolis, MD - The Wagner men's tennis team traveled to Annapolis, MD last weekend to compete in Navy Gold Invitational. The Seahawks came away with four singles wins and five doubles wins.  

On the first day of the tournament junior Odeda Arazza recorded a win against Nathan Nguyen of the U.S Naval Academy. Odeda won both sets, taking the first set 6-4 and the second set 7-5.  Senior Jai Sai Karan Venkatramana recorded a win against Diego Laporta of Monmouth University due to injury.

Senior Abhinav Magow went 1-2 in his singles matches with a win against Luke Dragoljic of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Magow would then drop his last match of the day against Nicholas Gore of the University of Delaware in a close battle losing the first set by two points and the second set by three points.

Freshman Kunsh Moolchandani earned wins against Naval Academy's Eric Liu and University of Deleware's Nicholas Gore.

In doubles, the junior duo of Rodrigo Perez and Odeda Arazza went 3-1 with wins against Eric Liu and Matthew McNair of the Naval Academy, Adres Ballesteros and Caleb Miller of the Naval Academy, and Samuel Townes and Ashwin Kanektar of NJIT. 

Freshman Kunsh Moolchandani and senior Abhinav Magow clinched two wins in doubles against Juan Bejarano-Gamez and Luka Dragoljic of NJIT before earning a win against Alex Zuckerman and Lucca Silva of Monmouth University.
