Staten Island, NY- The Wagner women's swimming & diving team is back in the pool this weekend at Saint Peter's and St. Francis Brooklyn on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Friday's matchup with the Peacocks starts at 3:00 p.m. from the Yanitelli Center in Jersey City, NJ. The meet will be broadcasted on Peacocks Digital Network with Brandon Pelter doing play-by-play.
The Seahawks then have a quick turnaround and will be right back at it on Saturday to face the Terriers at 12:00 p.m. from the SFC Aquatic Center in Brooklyn Heights, NY.
Last Time Out For The Seahawks…
- Wagner defeated Staten Island (CSI) last Saturday, 98-83 for their fourth win of the season.
- The Seahawks had a pair of relay teams sweep the 200 Yard Medley Relay, led by first place finishers Annie Jencova, Ellie Eastwood, Kate Wilkerson, and Madeleine Delore. The foursome hit the wall at 1:51.09 in the event.
- The Green & White paced the 50 Yard Backstroke. Eastwood hit the wall first with a time of 31.97, followed by Bree Anderson, Maile Mora, and Delore.
- In the 50 Yard Freestyle, Jencova took first place with a time of 25.36. Teammates Mary Tsianaka and Delore finished second and third in the event, respectively.
Scouting Saint Peter's…
- The Peacocks last competed in a meet back on December 11, 2021 against Susquehanna.
- Saint Peter's lost to the River Hawks, 133-107.
- Natalie Davis posted two first place finishes in the 100 and 200 Yard Backstroke.
- Rachel Valentine swam a season-best in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Scouting St. Francis Brooklyn…
- The Terriers most recently defeated United States Merchant Marine Academy, 153-145 on January 16.
- Laetitia Bouc finished first in the 1000 Yard Freestyle, 100 Yard Butterfly, and 200 Yard Butterfly.
- Kristy Nagtzaam and Alizee Brossier also posted first place finishes in the meet.
