• Wagner is looking to bounce back after seeing its two-game win streak halted on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Manhattan College Jaspers, 2-1, at Hameline Field. 
• Junior forward Madison Carr recorded her team-leading fourth goal of the season in the later stages of the contest against the Jaspers. 
• Junior tri-captain Luisa Barone and sophomore forward Mia Tessier were credited with the assist. For Barone, it marked her first helper of the season while Tessier posted her team-best third assist of the season. 
• Fresh off her Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week accolade, Carr was tabbed to the NEC Prime Performers list for Week after scoring recording a goal against Saint Peter's and Manhattan.

• The Highlanders enter play looking for their first win of the fall season after dropping a 5-0 decision on the road at ACC member, Pittsburgh, on Sunday afternoon. 

• Thursday's contest is the 11th all-time meeting between the Seahawks and the Highlanders with Wagner holding a 6-4-0 edge in the head-to-head series. 
• These two teams met this past spring with the Green & White falling, 1-0, in Newark. 
• All-time, Wagner is 2-3-0 in games at NJIT, with the last victory coming on September 9, 2012, a 3-1 triumph.  

• Madison Carr collected her team-leading fourth goal of the season in the late stages of the contest, but Wagner's comeback attempt fell short as the Seahawks dropped their first match of the year, 2-1, to Manhattan on Sunday afternoon at Hameline Field. 
• The Seahawks recorded a season-high 21 shots while tying a season-best eight shots on goal. 

• NJIT brought back 21 returners from the 2020 campaign while adding seven freshmen and one transfer as the Highlanders begin their second year in the America East. 
• The Highlanders finished the spring campaign 2-6-1 and 0-5-1 in the AE. 
• NJIT was picked to finish eighth in the preseason coaches poll. 

• The Seahawks continue their road trip on Sunday, September 5 as they will head up to New Rochelle, NY to take on the Iona Gaels.
