Women's Triathlon 6/14/21 Four Seahawks Named College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) Scholar All-Americans Colorado Springs, CO - The College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) recently released its annual list of Scholar All-Americans and four Wagner triathletes made the list. Ally Meehan and Yasmin Rieger, who were previously honored following the 2019 season, were two of the four recipients. This year, the Scholar All-American Award was presented to student athletes who achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the Spring 2021 semester (regardless of competitions completed in that timeframe). Joining Meehan and Rieger as this year's honorees were freshmen Til Ocvirk and Maia Vitoratos. The Scholar All American award recognizes student athletes in each of the three NCAA divisions who excel in the classroom. The NCAA named triathlon an Emerging Sport for Women in 2014, a designation that gives the sport a 10-year window to demonstrate sustainability at the NCAA level. Thirty-seven colleges and universities across the country currently sponsor the sport at the varsity level.
