BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Wagner College triathlon team opened its 2025 season with a strong showing at the Duquesne Invitational on Saturday morning, finishing ninth overall with a team score of 237.

Leading the way for the Seahawks was junior Olivia Roldan Casado, who placed 23rd overall with a time of 1:08:02.2, averaging a 4:25 pace. She was followed by junior Ulrikke Gaare Olstad, who crossed the line in 1:11:47.5 to finish 37th.

Senior Leticia Campos secured a 71st-place finish in 1:22:52.4, while freshman Nele Schlesinger made her collegiate debut with a time of 1:30:21.1 for 78th place. Rounding out the Wagner scoring group was senior Kayla Renwick, who placed 79th overall with a time of 1:34:58.8.

The Seahawks combined for a total clock time of 6:48:02.1, earning a top-10 finish in the season-opening meet.

Wagner will return to action on Sunday, September 28, at the Waterman's Triathlon in Rock Hall, Md.
