Women's Triathlon 2/12/20 Five Seahawks Named College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) Scholar All-Americans Colorado Springs, CO - The College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) recently released its list of Scholar All-Americans, recognizing women's varsity student-athletes and teams that excelled both in the classroom and on the race course during the 2019 season, and five Wagner triathletes made the list.  Freshman Katja Hufnagl earned Scholar All-American status while senior Emily Upton, sophomores Yasmin Rieger and Anna Carrion i Barea, and freshman Ally Meehan all earned Scholar All-American: Honorable Mention recognition.  The title of Scholar All-American is awarded to varsity athletes who competed in the 2019 Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships (all divisions) and maintained a GPA of 3.5 or better throughout the 2019 fall semester of competition.  The title of Scholar All-American: Honorable Mention is awarded to varsity athletes who competed in at least one 2019 Women's Collegiate Triathlon Regional Qualifier (all divisions), but not the National Championships, and maintained a GPA of 3.5 or better throughout the 2019 fall semester of competition.  Wagner was one of 18 colleges with multiple Scholar All-American members and one of just five schools – and one of only two at the D-1 level -- with at least five total honorees.
