Softball Hosts Mount St. Mary’s To Close Out Regular Season With Senior Day Celebration Scheduled For Sunday

Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College softball team will host Mount St. Mary's for the regular season finale on Saturday and Sunday.

First pitch on Saturday is scheduled for 1:00 pm, with Sunday's doubleheader set for 12:00 pm.

Prior to Sunday's game, the Seahawks will celebrate senior day to honor Zoe Bender, Amelia Van Orman, Alexis Silinonte, and Bailey Eaton.

Bender, who leads the team with 41 hits on the season, is six hits away from 10th all-time in Seahawk history, as she hits at 155 career hits.

The Seahawks currently sit at 8-20 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play, with one spot remaining in this year's NEC Tournament.

In the circle, junior Eve Harvey continues to lead the Seahawks with a 2.66 ERA, while her 84 strikeouts on the season are 13 away from fifth all-time in a single season.

Mount St. Mary's enters the weekend with a 10-13 conference mark and 18-25 conference record.

The last time the two teams met in 2019, the Seahawks earned a 4-0 victory as part of a doubleheader split on Grymes Hill.

All games this weekend will stream live on NECFrontRow.com, the NEC's digital media platform.
