Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College softball team will travel to Central Connecticut on Saturday and Sunday, with first pitch set for 1:00 pm on both days.

Following a split against Sacred Heart on Thursday, the Seahawks are currently sitting in sixth place in the Northeast Conference (NEC) standings with an 8-16 conference record. With eight games remaining in the regular season, the Seahawks currently sit behind the Pioneers (9-15) and Mount St. Mary's (10-13) in the race for the final spot in the NEC Tournament.

The Seahawks and Mountaineers will meet in the final series of the regular season next weekend.

In Thursday's doubleheader against Sacred Heart, graduate student Zoe Bender picked up the 150th hit of her collegiate career.

As a team, the Seahawks picked up a 7-6 victory in game two of the doubleheader, powered by seven runs in the first three innings.

In the circle, junior Eve Harvey continues to lead the team with a 2.32 ERA after picking up her first save of the season in yesterday's win.

The Blue Devils enter the weekend with a 16-4 mark in NEC play and currently sit in third place in the conference standings despite falling to LIU in all four games last weekend.

Following this weekend's series, Wagner and Mount St. Mary's will conclude the regular season  on May 8-9.
