Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College softball team will host LIU on Tuesday and Wednesday for a midweek series on Grymes Hill, with first pitch scheduled for 2 pm and 4 pm on both days.
All games will air on NEC Front Row.
Despite dropping the last two weeks to Sacred Heart this past weekend, Wagner's offense will look to improve on its performance on Saturday, as the Seahawks recorded their first multi-home run game of the season in game two against the Pioneers, with freshman
Keaghan Ward and junior
Natalie Del Ponte hitting home runs on consecutive pitches.
Wagner's series against Sacred Heart was interrupted by inclement weather, with the second doubleheader of the series now scheduled for April 29 on Grymes Hill.
Graduate student
Amelia Van Orman leads the Seahawks with a .400 average and 17 RBIs on the season, while fellow graduate student
Zoe Bender is first on the team with 18 runs scored.
In the circle, junior
Eve Harvey continues to pace the Green and White with a 1.57 ERA and 36 strikeouts on the season.
The Sharks enter the series with a 13-3 record in Northeast Conference (NEC) play and have won their last five games after recently earning a series sweep over Merrimack.
Following the midweek series, the Seahawks will face Mount St. Mary's on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, Wagner will honor its senior class prior to first pitch.
