Somerset, NJ – Following outstanding performances in two conference games, senior Erin Kerstetter and junior Lauren DiStefano were both awarded weekly honors by the Northeast Conference (NEC), as announced Monday afternoon.

Kerstetter was named Player of the Week and DiStefano the Defensive Player of the Week, the first weekly award for either player this season; Kerstetter twice took home conference Player of the Week honors last season. Kerstetter and DiStefano become the second and third Seahawks, respectively, to take home weekly awards this season; junior Kasey Dorney was last week's Player of the Week recipient.

The speedy Kerstetter posted dual four-goal, seven-point games last week in conference wins over Long Island University (LIU) and Bryant, adding five ground balls and five draw controls against LIU, and four ground balls and four draw controls against Bryant. The dynamic midfielder tacked on a pair of caused turnovers against LIU as well. Her final goal against Bryant gave her 150 points for her career.

DiStefano shut the door on LIU's potent offense, then stifled Bryant in the Bulldogs' first game of the season, stopping 22 of 31 total shots on goal, including five free position attempts, good for a 70.9 save percentage for the week. DiStefano has posted save percentages of .625 or better in each of Wagner's three conference games, all wins.
